COVID 19 Update – Current data

Students/Faculty Quarantined - *Fewer than five

Students/Faculty Covid Positive – * fewer than five

Dear Parents,

God has blessed us at St. Paul’s with a wonderful community of families and friends. This Thanksgiving I count the students, families, faculty, and staff among the greatest blessings God has given me. I pray you all have a Thanksgiving Holiday filled with love and laughter.

When we return from Thanksgiving Break, we will be in the season of Advent. Advent is a time to prepare ourselves for Christ’s coming in history, mystery and majesty. While preparing for Christmas and the concerts that go with the season, we will be trying to keep our focus on the Advent season of deepening our faith, and not focusing on the secular aspects of the holiday. We want to help our students remember Jesus is the reason for the season. Please check your child’s folder for the information about Advent and our Christmas concerts.

Christmas Concerts

December 2 – 7:00 PM Band and 7/8th Choir in the gym

December 7 – 6:00 PM K-2 Christmas Program in the gym

December 9 – 6:00 PM 3-5 Christmas Program in the gym

December 17 – 11:45 PM Nativity Program in the Church

Axis: Resource for Parents

It is difficult to navigate social media and apps on your child’s devices. There are also many topics that as parents we may not feel equipped to talk with our children about from a Christian perspective. There is a great resource called Axis, https://axis.org/. There are free materials and if you join even more available if you decide to subscribe. One of the free resources is called the Culture Translator. It is an email that you will receive weekly that demystifies teen culture, shares new slang and the latest viral media. I would highly recommend this resource. It is never too soon to get in touch with what your children are encountering or will in the near future. I use this resource to keep up with trends and highly recommend it for parents.

This is a family friendly event. Please join us, even if for only part of the evening. For more information, check the parish website or contact Jen Brooke 505.3509 davstpauldre@diodav.org
