SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

Beginning Monday, June 4, and continuing through Tuesday, June 19, the school office will be open from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.  Beginning on Wednesday, June 20, the school office will be open on Tues, Wed, and Thursday mornings from 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM.  Beginning August 6, the office will be open M-F from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

REMINDER – TUITION AND FEES

Please make sure all tuition and school fees are paid in full by the end of June.  Outstanding tuition balances jeopardize the Family Tuition Plan grants for those who have received financial assistance.   Per Board of Education policy, families with unpaid balances for tuition, daycare or aftercare after June 30th will not be able to enroll their child(ren) at St. Paul’s School for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please contact Rose Strickland, Parish Finance Manager, at 322-7994 or davstpaulfin@diodav.org to make arrangements for payment.   Past due balances will be turned over to a collection agency if not paid in full.

A FAMILY IN NEED

Hello parishioners and parents of children of St Paul the Apostle.  There is a group of parents who are starting a fundraiser to help the Gorsh family since Stephanie (mom) has been diagnosed with small bowel adenocarcinoma and is currently undergoing treatment in Iowa City. Stephanie and Jordan currently have two children at St Paul’s, Carter 2A and Stella KB. Next year their youngest Emery will start 4-year-old preschool. If you would like to help support this family though this difficult time, a fund has been set up through the church office, that will be used for their children’s tuition next year. If you would like to donate, please mail or drop off your donation to the church office at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church c/o Rose Strickland. Tell them it is to go towards the Gorsh family tuition.

Please keep Stephanie, Jordan, Carter, Stella & Emery Gorsh in your prayers. Thank you for your support.

AHS BASKETBALL CAMP

I apologize for the confusion but we have decided to go back to the original camp dates of June 4th-7th.  After learning St Paul’s decided not to have school June 4th and input from parents it sounds like the original dates work better.  Again if you have already registered and this does not work please let me know and I will send you a refund ASAP.  Thanks for understanding and we look forward to another great camp!

Assumption Cross Country will hold an Informational Meeting for all incoming freshmen and returning high schoolers interested in participating in Cross Country in the fall, on Wednesday, May 30 at 7 pm. in the Cafeteria.

Please remember to pick up medications in the next few weeks. No medications will be sent home with students.   Please remember, we will need updated prescriptions and medications in August if your child(ren) need to take medication at school. Medication not picked up by June 8th will be discarded.

BIX 7 VOLUNTEERS

Looking for BIX 7 volunteers for the last mile! July 28th is the BIX 7 and we are looking for volunteers to cheer the runners on in the last mile! We also hold mile marker signs but cheering is our main job. Great opportunity for community service hours, practicing cheer routines and watching the elite, family and friends run! LAST DAY OF SCHOOL CHANGE

The Saint Paul’s School Board voted to move the last day of school from Monday, June 4 to Friday, June 1. We will have a regular 3:15 dismissal. Buses will run. Small Beginnings and Before/After Care will close for the year on Friday, June 1 at 5:30 PM.

MRS. JOHNSTON’S ART CAMP

Sign up for one or both sessions: June 6th-8th from 9AM - Noon, and June 11th -15th from 1PM – 3PM.

Art Camp is available for students between the current grades of Kindergarten through 5th. Join us in creating sculptures with air dry clay, wire, and paper mache, as well as working on our drawing skills, murals, and printmaking.   • Where: AHS Choir Room
  • When: June 11-14, 12:30 – 3:00
  • Concert – June 14 at 6:30PM
  • Cost of Camp: $20 (make checks payable to AHS), add $20 for lunch, deduct $10 if attending band camp too!
