This may be the last Spirit Wear order of the year, and the last opportunity to purchase SPS uniform tops and the red and blue ¼ zip pullover sweatshirts (these are only available when the spirit wear link is live). CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK (CSW)
Next week is Catholic School’s Week!! Please join us for an Open House this Sunday from 9 - 11 (teachers will be in classrooms from 9:45 - 10:45) and the book fair in the Media Center from 8 to 1. SPS students will sing at 11:00AM Mass and there are lots of activities planned throughout the week. Please see flyer in Wednesday folder.
Join us for a special screening of “Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age” on Tuesday, February 11 in Denning Hall. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the movie begins at 6:30. See flyer in Wednesday folder for details.

YO-YO’S FOR SALE IN SCHOOL OFFICE
On Thursday January 23, we have the wonderful opportunity to participate in the NED's Mindset assembly at school! NED'S Mindset is an assembly where they use humor, story-telling, illusions, and yo-yo tricks to teach our students about never giving up and The Power of Yet! It's an assembly geared at activating growth mindset in our students! This assembly is at no cost to us due to a pay it forward system. So, for one week after the show, we will be selling NED's mindset yo-yo's in the school office over lunch (11-noon). If you are interested in purchasing a yo-yo, the order form is attached to this email.
Nurses from the Scott County Health Department will be here tomorrow to do vision screenings on KGN, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th graders; and Dental screenings for KGN. If you do NOT want your child to be screened, please email Kelly.email@example.com.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL’S WEEK TALENT SHOW
If you are interested in being in the talent show, please fill in the information below and return to Mrs. Kamp by Monday, Jan. 27th. The talent show will be the afternoon of Jan. 30. Acts and costumes must be appropriate, and acts no longer than 90 seconds in length. You may only be in two acts, and only one of those may be by yourself. The day of the show you will be given a number so that you know the order of acts. Let me know if you need time for a costume change. If you need music for your act, please put that on a CD or on a flash drive. We must have that by Jan. 28th to make sure it works.
K-5 students need to have their acts approved by Mrs. Lucas/Mrs. Delaney. 6-8 students will need to be pre-viewed by Mrs. Kamp/Mrs. Delaney during their recess time. MENTAL HEALTH MINISTRY
Do you have a loved one that suffers from mental illness?
You are invited to join the Mental Health Ministry Family and Friends Support Group. Our first meeting will be on:

We plan to meet on the fourth Thursday of each month to provide an opportunity for faith, fellowship and support for those, who care for a loved one that suffers in this way.

IMPORTANT - VOLUNTEERS
If you have volunteered for anything at St. Paul the Apostle since July 1, 2019 or plan to do anything before June 30, 2020, that requires you to complete Virtus Training (coaching, VBS, etc.), there is a MANDATORY training that has been assigned to all volunteers that needs to be completed by Feb. 2, 2020. Please login to www.virtus.org and click on the training tab to see the link that takes you to this training titled: Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Module 1. Please complete this training as soon as possible.
Camp- We are sooooo excited for camp! You'll have the first opportunity to sign up for camp on Thursday, January 16th at our camp signup and hangout at Altitude from 7:00-8:00! All are invited to come to Altitude even if you're not signing up for camp! If you want to sign up for camp and can't make it that night, fill out the attached flyer and drop if off at the parish office sometime that week, along with your deposit check. Also, see the attached camp scholarship application- we never want money to be the reason someone doesn't go to camp!
