MULTICULTURAL DAY

Next Wednesday, May 18 is Multicultural Day!  Students will take a trip around the world and learn about different cultures!  LUNCH WILL BE CATERED BY SNOOPS FOOD TRUCK – tacos will be served to all students.  If your child does not like tacos, they will NEED TO BRING A SACK LUNCH!  There will be NO Hy-Vee chicken sandwiches available this day.

Students will be provided a tee shirt to wear for multicultural day.   Grades 4-8 must wear uniform bottoms (P.E./khaki/navy shorts, or skirt).  Grades Kgn – 3rd must wear uniform shorts.  If K-3 girls do not have uniform shorts, they may wear loose fitting shorts that are no more than two inches above the knee.

SUNFLOWER ART SHOW

Don't forget to check out the students' Digital Sunflower Art show in support of Ukraine.  Join us this week in praying for peace while you view these artworks.

Thank you for your support.

We prayed in the classroom as we began our sunflower creations and we have talked a little about how we can support these people across the globe by praying and possibly donating or raising awareness.  As you view the children’s artwork, please consider making a donation to the Ukraine.  The classes are voting on organizations they would like to support.  Some organizations are the Red Cross of Ukraine and Poland, World Central Kitchen and Malteser International, among others.

If you would like to make a small donation, cash or checks payable to St. Paul the Apostle Church by May 13th (and write Ukraine in the memo.)  We’d like to make another prayerful plea to Mary at May Crowning.

Donations can be sent to school in an envelope marked UKRAINE.

Get Ready for an awesome VBS!

Go off-road for a monumental adventure through the colorful canyons and sunbaked trails of the southwest.  By exploring God’s awesomeness, kids form a rock-solid faith for the road ahead.  VBS will be June 20-24 for children ages 3-10 (Preschool – 3rd grade, 2021-2022 school year).  Registration forms are coming home in the Wednesday folder and can also be found on the parish website.

FIRST DAY SCHOOL SUPPLIES

If there was ever a year to buy school supplies early... this is it. Traditional back-to-school shopping won’t just be a nightmare this summer, it will be impossible!!! We're the only way to guarantee back-to-school school supplies. Click here to purchase or copy and paste this link: https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/kits.php?sid=40081&utm_source=customer-db&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=store-launch.

We are expecting a HUGE surge in demand from parents at St Paul The Apostle Catholic School who normally don't purchase kits. Unlike Wal-Mart, Target, and even Amazon we actually have the exact supplies your school has requested RIGHT NOW at LOCKED-IN PRICES.

Orders must be placed by July 1, and will be in your child’s classroom for them to unpack at Unpack your Backpack night in August.
