Each year more than half a million students participate in the National History Day Contest. Students choose a historical topic related to the annual theme, and then conduct independent or small group primary and secondary research. They will look through libraries, archives and museums, conduct oral history interviews, and visit historic sites. After they have analyzed and interpreted their sources, and have drawn a conclusion about the significance of their topic, they will then be able to present their work in one of five ways: as a paper, an exhibit, a performance, a documentary, or a website.  Please visit the National History Day website at for information!  If your 6th through 8th grader is interested in this INDEPENDENT research project, please contact Mrs. Valleroy for information!

Please stop by Denning Hall after the 4:30, 9 and 11 Masses on October 13 & 14 to celebrate the Meal Ministry success story and sample one of their tasty treats.  You will be able to sponsor a smile by donating for future meals, buy baked goods, have a tasty treat, and find about others ways you can help support the Meal Ministry.

The Meal Ministry has been serving up smiles since June of 2014!  Homemade baked goods will be available for purchase. In order to keep this Ministry going we need to raise funds.  In addition, coffee and donuts will be provided after the 9 am & 11 am Masses.

Also, Meal Ministry needs your help! Baked Goods are needed for the event. We are asking for donations of pies, brownies, bars, candies, sweet and savory mixes, cakes, cookies, pastries, breads, caramel corn, the list could go on.... No need to price the items ahead of time, we will take care of that. Please consider donating a baked good to Smiles Meal Ministry Bake Sale Event. Baked goods may be dropped off October 13, in Denning Hall from 8AM – 4PM.  Arrangements can be made for earlier drop off if needed. Please use the following Sign Up Genius to sign up: OR
