School Policies/Dress Code


Calling in for Tardy or Absent Students
1.        Please leave a voice mail at 563-322-2923 or email 
leigh.thompson@st-paul.pvt.k12.ia.us

2.        Always leave child’s name, homeroom teacher, and 2 symptoms - or reason for tardiness.

3.        Please call every day that your child is absent.

4.        It is imperative that you leave us a message or email BEFORE 8:45AM.


DISMISSAL
Dismissal for grades K-8 is at 2:52. Every Wednesday school will be dismissed at 1:52 PM. Buses will run. Students in grades K-5 who are not picked up by 3:00 (2:00 on Wed.) will be sent to After Care and charged for the service. After 3:00 (2:00 on Wed.), students may be picked up in Denning Hall.

DRESS CODE

This dress code exists so that economical clothing can be purchased and so that competition between the students, regarding dress, can be minimized.


All Students:           

Red or navy blue uniform sweater (cardigan or crew neck) purchased from Religious Supply Store - or exact replica.

Socks and belts are required, they must be solid color and coordinate with uniform.

Navy blue uniform shorts* (purchased from Religious Supply Store or – exact replica).

Uniform approved sweatshirts. Contact school office for purchase  information.


Girls Uniform:         

Blouses must be those styles available from Religious Supply Store; in red, white, light blue or navy blue, long or short sleeved, Peter Pan collar or oxford, knit polo, or exact replicas of these. Standard, white turtlenecks are also permitted.

For safety reasons only plain post earrings (no hoops or dangling styles) are permitted.

 K-5:  Uniform jumpers or navy blue shorts * or navy blue slacks purchased from the Religious Supply Store - or exact replica.

 6-8: Uniform skirts, navy blue or khaki uniform shorts* or navy blue or khaki dress slacks purchased from the Religious Supply Store - or exact replica. (NO jeans, corduroys, sweats, or stirrup-style). Skirt length must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Dress slacks must have belt loops, a maximum of two inset pockets in front and two inset pockets in the back.


Boys Uniform:           

Shirts must be those styles available from Religious Supply Store; red, white, light blue, or navy blue, long or short sleeved, oxford style or knit polo, - or exact replicas. Standard white turtlenecks are also permitted.

K-5: Navy blue uniform slacks or shorts* purchased from the Religious Supply Store - or exact replica.

6-8: Navy blue or khaki uniform shorts* or navy blue or khaki dress slacks- purchased from Religious Supply Store - or exact replicas. (No jeans, corduroys or sweats). Dress slacks must have belt loops and a maximum of two inset pockets in front and two inset pockets in back.

6th, 7th, 8th Grade Students:   

6th - 8th grade students have the following additional option:  Uniform approved sweatshirts. Contact school office for purchase information.  Assumption sweatshirt as determined by St. Paul administration.


PE Uniform (required for ALL students in 4th - 8th grade)

Please click on the link to place your order. The uniform will be the same for boys and girls in grades 4 - 8. There will be two options for bottoms; navy blue sweatpants and navy blue shorts. There will also be two options for tops; royal blue short sleeved and long sleeved t-shirts. Both youth and adult sizes will be offered for all pieces. Students may wear solid black or navy-blue leggings or compression pants under shorts.

Be sure to use the size chart provided on the website and provide a valid email address. HDC will email you once your order has been completed.

Turnaround time for orders is 7-10 days so please order soon so that you have time for pick up prior to the first day of school.
